Field Visit – ICAR-CMFRI, Mandapam Regional Centre
The Department of Life Sciences organized an educational and research-oriented industrial visit to the ICAR–Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Mandapam Regional Centre, on 7th August, 2026. The visit was organized to provide students with practical exposure to marine biological research, fisheries science, aquaculture, marine biodiversity and sustainable utilization of marine resources.
The visit served as an important academic interface between classroom learning and real-world research practices. Students had the opportunity to understand how concepts from Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Life Sciences are applied in marine research and aquaculture.
