ANTI-DRUG PLEDGE – DRUG-FREE TAMIL NADU
The NSS Cell of PRIST Deemed to be University organized an Anti-Drug Pledge Programme on 11th August 2026 at 10.00 AM at the ‘C’ Block Seminar Hall as part of the Drug-Free Tamil Nadu awareness initiative. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and to encourage them to lead healthy, safe and meaningful lives.
The programme commenced with an introduction highlighting the importance of maintaining a drug-free society. Students and participants were sensitized to the physical, psychological, social and academic consequences of drug abuse. The importance of making responsible choices and encouraging friends and family members to stay away from drugs was emphasized.
The Anti-Drug Pledge was administered to the participants. The students pledged to remain free from drugs, discourage others from using drugs and contribute towards building a healthy and responsible community.
The programme emphasized the message:
“Let’s Pledge for a Healthy, Safe & Drug-Free Tamil Nadu.”
The participants actively took part in the pledge and expressed their commitment to promoting a drug-free environment within the university and society.
