FREE COMPREHENSIVE EYE CHECKUP
A free eye care camp was organized by the PRIST Deemed to be University, Thanjavur, under the National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Thanjavur. The camp was inaugurated by the University Registrar, Dr. Abdul Ghani Khan. Dr. Suvitha Selvaraj, Chief Medical Officer at Vasan Eye Care Hospital, participated as the Special Guest and delivered an insightful talk on various eye-related issues and their treatments.
Eye examinations were conducted for over 200 participants, including students, professors, and non-teaching staff; necessary treatments and spectacles were provided to those who required them.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. R. Manikandan, the University’s NSS Coordinator, while NSS Officer Dr. Veeramani delivered the vote of thanks.
PRIST Deemed to be University’s International Women’s Day celebration was a resounding success, providing a platform for women to share their experiences, challenges, and achievements. The event reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting gender equality and empowering women.
