PRIST School of Law is committed to the creation of an ethical legal culture, which protects and promotes the rule of law. The University in all its years of existence has attempted varied strategies to create a vibrant scholastic environment. The primary objective of the University is to evolve and impart comprehensive and interdisciplinary legal education that is socially relevant. Through this education, we aim to promote legal and ethical values and foster the rule of law and the objectives enshrined in the Constitution of India. Furthermore, the University works toward dissemination of legal knowledge and its role in national development, so that the ability to Analyze and present contemporary issues of public concern and their legal implications for the benefit of the public is improved. The mission of the University is to equip the students with critical, analytical and applied skills and also to make both transactional and litigating lawyers .The institution produces potential law abiding citizens who are capable of adding values in the existing legal system of the country

MISSION

  • To develop the students and research scholars with a sense of responsibility to serve the people by developing skills in Advocacy, Judicial and legal skills in core areas such as civil laws , criminal laws, Business Laws, Intellectual Property Rights, Cyber Laws and Trade Laws.
  • To inculcate cultural, legal and ethical values with a view to foster the Rule of Law and the objectives enshrined in the Constitution of India.

PROGRAMMES OFFERED

With our 5 year B.A. L.L.B. (Hons.) and 3 year L.LB (Hons.) , we strive to deliver outstanding academic and employment-focused education to help students own their skills and graduate with the experience that will set you up for success. The degree aims to equip students with research and writing skills through different kinds of projects/assignments such as : newspaper discovery, film reviews, conducting of live interviews, creating moot problems, drafting petitions, book reviews, case comments, literature surveys and research papers.

  2. L.L.B. (Hons.) – 3 Year

Programme Outcomes: – B.A. L.LB. (Hons.) – 5 Year

PO1- Professional Competence Demonstrate competence and capacity to read statutes, understand precedents, identify legal issues, draft legal documents and apply legal knowledge to practical legal problems. Appreciate and inculcate moral and ethical responsibilities of the noble profession on Advocate.

PO2 – Social Justice and Rule of Law uphold the rule of law and promote the constitutional values and objectives of social justice.

PO3- Critical Thinking and Reflections Contribute to legal scholarship through critical appraisal of laws and theories including their application in various socio-legal contexts.

PO4-Creative Problem Solving Predict, mitigate, and solve complex problems and engage in conflict resolution by adopting context-appropriate inclusive methods.

PO5 – Advocacy Capacity to participate and influence deliberations on issues of local, national or international importance using broader advocacy skills of an individual trained in law.

Programme Outcomes: – L.L.B. (Hons.) – 3 Year

PO1: Enabling students to explore and gain in-depth knowledge of the laws and procedures specific to their field of study, while analyzing judicial responses to these legal matters.

PO2: Interpreting and analyzing legal and social issues, and providing solutions to socio-legal problems through the application of laws and regulations.

PO3: Equipping students with teaching methods knowledge through courses on legal education and pedagogy, preparing them to enter the teaching profession.

PO4: Applying ethical principles and instilling a strong sense of professional ethics, responsibility, and adherence to established legal practices.

PO5: Fostering an understanding of the importance of independent and lifelong learning, with a focus on adapting to broader social and legal changes.
