“World Brain Day – Quiz Competition”

Programme Overview
The Department of Microbiology successfully organized a World Brain Day – Quiz Competition on 17 July 2026. The programme was conducted to create awareness among students about brain health, neuroscience, neurological disorders and recent advances in brain research.
A total of 20 students from the Department of Microbiology, Biotechnology & Biochemistry actively participated in the quiz competition. The quiz included multiple rounds covering brain anatomy and physiology, neuroscience, neurological disorders, brain health, microbiology and general life sciences.
The programme provided an engaging platform for students to develop their scientific knowledge, critical thinking, analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork and communication skills.
Outcome
The quiz competition helped students improve their understanding of brain health, neuroscience and neurological disorders. It also stimulated scientific curiosity and encouraged collaborative learning. Students gained confidence and enhanced their communication and academic engagement through active participation.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes to the winners, followed by a vote of thanks to the University Management, Head of the Department, faculty members, organizing committee and participants for their support and cooperation.
