Yuva Series EDITION 11

Madurai Race Cource

PRIST Deemed to University maintains a vibrant presence in Madurai, notably through its participation in regional sports events. In July 2024, PRIST University’s kabaddi team clinched the championship title at the South Indian Kabaddi League held at the MGR Race Course Stadium in Madurai. The tournament featured 16 teams, including prominent squads like Income Tax Chennai and Tamil Nadu Police. In the final match, PRIST University triumphed over Income Tax Chennai with a score of 33–23, earning a ₹1 lakh cash prize. This victory underscores PRIST’s commitment to excellence in both academics and athletics.

CM TROPHY

PRIST Deemed University has actively participated in both the 3rd and 4th Chief Minister’s (CM) Trophy tournaments in Tamil Nadu. These state-level sports events, organized by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), aim to promote athletic talent across various disciplines.

In the 3rd CM Trophy, held during the 2019–2020 academic year, PRIST University’s athletes competed in district-level sports and games, earning merit certificates for their performances.

The 4th CM Trophy, conducted in October 2024, featured over 33,000 participants from 38 districts, competing across 36 sports disciplines. PRIST University’s continued involvement in such events underscores its commitment to fostering sportsmanship and excellence among its students.
