Ph.D., Programme

              The Ph.D., programme includes an intergrated sequence of course work and research in various branches of  Tamil. Scholars are expected to clear the entrance examination conducted by PRIST.

 Thiruvaluvar Forum – Tamil Department 

1) இலக்கிய மன்ற விழா

          திருவள்ளுவர் மன்றம் நடத்திய “ தமிழும் வாழ்வும்” என்ற தலைப்பில் 07.02.2025 அன்று வேதியியல்துறை இணைப்பேராசிரியர் முனைவர் R.மணிகண்டன் அவர்கள் சிறப்புரை வழங்க கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது.

Literary Forum Celebration        

          The Tiruvalluvar Forum conducted the Literary Forum Celebration titled Tamil Language and Culture” on 07/02/2025. The speaker, Dr. R. Manikandan, gave a meritorious talk that provided insights into the significance of language and culture. 

2) மகளிர் தினவிழா

          திருவள்ளுவர் மன்றம் நடத்திய பெண்களுக்கான பாதுகாப்புச் சட்டம் என்ற தலைப்பில் 08.03.2024 அன்று திருமதி ரோஸ்லின் (காவல்துறை சைபர் க்ரைம்) அவர்கள் சிறப்புரை வழங்க கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது.

    Women’s Day

     A seminar on “Protection Law for Women” was conducted by Thiruvaluvar  Tamil Forum  on 08.03.2024, Chief Guest,  Mrs. Roslyn (Cyber Crime,) delivered a special lecture about the importance of protection of law for women in the society.

3) தாய்மொழி தினவிழா

          திருவள்ளுவர் மன்றம் நடத்திய தாய்மொழி தினம் என்ற தலைப்பில் 21.02.2024 அன்று தமிழரண்  மாணவர்களின் செயலாளர் மற்றும் துணைச் செயலாளர்  இ.வே.சீர்த்தி  ,த. கவிதா அவர்களும்  சிறப்புரை  வழங்க கருத்தரங்கம்  நடைபெற்றது.                 

     Mother Language Day

Thiruvalluvar Forum conducted a seminar on “Mother Tongue Day” on 21.02.2024. Special lectures were delivered by E. Ve. Seerthi, Secretary, and The. Kavitha, Joint Secretary of the Thamilaran Students’ Association.

4) கார்கில் வெற்றி தினவிழா

                   திருவள்ளுவர் மன்றம் நடத்திய கார்கில் வெற்றி தின விழாவை முன்னிட்டு “இந்திய ராணுவ வீரர்களின் தியாக உணர்வு” என்ற தலைப்பில்  29.07.2024  அன்று கலைப்புலத் தலைவர் முனைவர் L.சின்னப்பா அவர்கள்  சிறப்புரை வழங்க கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது.

      Kargil Victory Day

A seminar on “The Sacrificial Spirit of Indian Army Soldiers” was conducted by the Thiruvaluvar Forum on 29.07.2024, featuring a special lecture by Dr. L. Chinnappa, Dean of Arts and Science.

5) தமிழ்த்துறை   கருத்தரங்கம்

           திருவள்ளுவர் மன்றம் நடத்திய கருத்தரங்கில் “பல்நோக்குப்  பார்வையில் திருக்குறள்” என்ற தலைப்பில் 29.08.2023 அன்று   முனைவர் நா.மாலதி உதவிப்பேராசிரியர்  தமிழ்ப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் தஞ்சாவூர்  அவர்கள்  சிறப்புரை வழங்க கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது.                                           

   SEMINAR

          A seminar titled “Thirukkural from a Multidisciplinary Perspective” was conducted by the Thiruvalluvar Club on August 29, 2023, featuring a special lecture by Dr. N. Malathi, Assistant Professor, Tamil University, Thanjavur.

6) சுதந்திர தின விழா

             திருவள்ளுவர் மன்றம் நடத்திய சுதந்திர தின விழாவை முன்னிட்டு 09.08.2023 அன்று “விடுதலைப் போராட்ட  தியாகிகள்” என்ற தலைப்பில் முனைவர் .டி.வி. கிறிஸ்டி துணைவேந்தர் அவர்கள் சிறப்புரை வழங்க கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது.

     Independence Day

            A seminar titled “Freedom Struggle Martyrs” was conducted by the Thiruvaluvar Club on October -23, as part of the Independence Day celebrations, a special lecture addressed by Dr. T.V. Christy, Vice-Chancellor of Prist Deemed to be University.

7) இலக்கிய மன்ற  கருத்தரங்கம்

             திருவள்ளுவர் மன்றம் நடத்திய கருத்தரங்கில் “இலக்கியப் பயன்” என்ற தலைப்பில் 21.09.2022 அன்று திரு. ஜெ. மகேசன் பேராசிரியர் அவர்கள் சிறப்புரை வழங்க கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது.

The Tiruvalluvar Forum conducted the seminar topic on “The Benefits of Literature,” which was held on September 21, 2022, with Chief Guest Prof. J. Mahesan delivering a keynote speech title “The Benefits of Literature” at the Tiruvalluvar Forum.
