The department aims at providing high quality training to students through the latest computer technology. In order to maintain the standard of education, the department constantly upgrades the academic syllabi so as to keep the students well trained to deal with changing trends in the field of computer science and engineering.
The department strongly believes that neither the industry, nor the academics alone have the resources to adequately deal with the quest for innovative excellence in this field of computers, for global competitiveness. Hence the institute’s industry interface programs enable the students to interact continuously with the industries.
Students of this course are imparted sound knowledge in fundamental areas of computer science like digital system design, data structure, computer architecture, and computer networks. Knowledge on design and the development of the software is imparted through subjects like software engineering and database management system.
Network of Engineers and Software Technologists (NEST), an Association of computer Science and Engineering conducts various events like Symposium, Seminars, Workshops, Quiz competitions, etc., to familiarize the students with the latest development in the field of computer Science.
