Application and Prospectus
Application and Prospectus can be obtained in person from various Permanent Spot Admission Centres (refer page no. 90) and approved Study Centres (refer page no. 91) on payment of Rs. 200/- by a Demand Draft drawn in favour of PRIST UNIVERSITY, payable at Thanjavur.
If desired through post, send a Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of PRIST UNIVERSITY, payable at Thanjavur to the following address:

Admission
The filled in application has to be submitted through the Study Centres / Spot Admission Centres
- The original entry qualification of HSC / Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested by the Gazetted Officer. (Original Certificates will be returned immediately after verification).
- The candidates have to submit two Demand Drafts separately towards Course Fees
- One Demand Draft in favour of the “PRIST UNIVERSITY”, payable at Thanjavur towards the University Share, and
- Another Demand Draft in favour of the Study Centre concerned through whom the candidate seeks admission.
The above Two Demand Drafts should be submitted to the Study Centre along with the filled-in Application.
- No Transfer Certificate is required for admission to any of the Courses. The Directorate will also not issue any Transfer Certificate. However, a ‘Course Completion Certificate’ may be issued for those candidates who apply for it.
The candidates are advised not to pay any fees in the form of Cash to the Study Centre under any circumstances.
Examination fees should be paid by the candidates through a separate demand draft drawn in favour of the PRIST UNIVERSITY, payable at Thanjavur, and handed over to the study centre where they got themselves admitted.

Admission Confirmation
- After scrutinising the documents, the Directorate shall confirm Admission to the eligible candidates, assign Enrolment Number and issue Identity Card.
- Students are instructed to keep the Identity Card in safe custody till they complete the programme.
- Once the candidate is admitted, his / her registration is valid for the entire period of study, subject to the payment of course fees for the respective year. Hence there is no need to apply every year.

Instructions to Candidates
- Before submitting the filled-in application, the candidates should ensure their eligibility for admission to the programme for which they apply.
- The candidates should clearly specify the Specific Programme they opt for in the Application.
- Candidates who have acquired U. G. qualification directly under Open University Stream are not eligible for admission to any PG Programme
- All fees should be paid in the form of Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of the PRIST UNIVERSITY , payable on any one of the Nationalised Banks at Thanjavur.
- The candidates should write their
- (i) Name (ii) Application number and (iii) Programme opted on the reverse of the demand draft.
- Payment of fees in instalment is not permitted.
- The students are permitted to pay the fees year-wise.
- Fees once paid shall neither be refunded nor adjusted towards any other payment.
- Cash / Cheques, Postal Orders and Money Orders will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Applicants should fill-up the application form in block letters in his / her own handwriting and duly sign in the space provided.
- Incomplete applications and over-written applications will be summarily rejected.
- Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
- Before submitting the application to the Centre the applicant should make note of the application number.
- Whenever the candidate corresponds with the Directorate, he / she has to quote his / her Enrolment Number, the Programme and the Study Centre through whom they have enrolled. Correspondence without Enrolment Number, Programme and the name of the Study Centre will not be entertained.
- Candidates should not register for two Programmes in the Centre in the same year.
- Change of Name / Study Centre will not be permitted.
- The University reserves the right not to conduct any of the Programmes if the circumstances so warrant.
- If the certificate submitted by the applicant is in any language other than English / Tamil, an English version of the Certificate, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be enclosed, failing which such certificate will not be considered.
- In case of Certificates / Degree of Foreign Educational Institutions, such Institutions must be the members of Associated India Universities or Common Wealth Universities.
- The centre reserves the right to revise, modify, add / or delete any part of the syllabus, considering the welfare of the students.
- The request for change of specialisation in MBA Programme will not be entertained.
- The University is in no way responsible if students enroll with study centres are not recognized by PRIST UNIVERSITY.
There will not be any separate communication from the Directorate of Distance Education for payment of II / III year course fees. The II / III year fees has to be paid whether the candidate has taken up the examinations or not / results declared or not.
